These are unripe tomatoes, either from a red or yellow slicer, or Heirloom variety. They usually size about 2 medium sized tomatoes per pound. Slice them into 3/8 inch slices, dip them in egg, toss in your favorite flour and slice mixture, and pan fry for a delicious tangy treat.
