Cherokee type tomatoes

These are a delicious brown slicer tomato. We have a few of the finicky-producing heirloom Cherokee Purple, but mainly a hybrid bred for flavor, Cherokee Carbon. Cherokee Carbon (hybrid) has been selected for it's eating qualities, so it is comparable to Cherokee Purple. In fact, it is generally sold as an heirloom tomato at produce stands. Seeds saved from the Cherokee Carbon fruit will not be true-to-type, but would probably still be delicious since the parents are both Heirloom tomatoes. One pound is 2-3 smaller tomatoes or 1-2 larger tomatos.
